Creating Tuxedo Penguins
Come and enjoy a workshop with Emily
Martin at the Aquila Glass school. Emily will be demonstrating how
to create the Tuxedo Penguin with soft glass on a lamp workers
torch! The Tuxedo Penguins will be created in two styles; one
penguin will hang Horizontally, while the other will stand
vertically. The tuxedo penguin is currently on display within the
Museum of Glass Gallery. Enjoy a personal workshop with the artist
who created it herself.
All materials, tools, and safety equipment used in class will be
Intro to torch or equivalent experience
Duration: One 1 hour
Open Torch Practices Sessions:
The open torch practice sessions
are instructor hosted, allowing students to use the tools and
techniques they learned during the workshop. The practice
sessions are $15 per hour, this way students can start and end
when their schedule allows.
